Too Much Doubt!! Justice for Troy Davis!

Dear  Divas and Dons!

Could you imagine being on DEATH ROW for a Crime you didn't commit? A crazy concept right since the law is suppose to protect us from these types of issues? Well sadly this is the reality for Troy Davis!! Today is the day an INNOCENT man is scheduled to be executed for allegaly murdering a police officer. Mr. Davis will be spending his last hours praying and wishing justice wasn't blind to his cry for freedom after overwhelming evidence has been presented to prove his innocence and 7 out of the 9 witnesses recanted all or part of their trial testimony.

After reading about Troy Davis' case it amazed me how I wasn't surprise yet another innocent man life was taken away and he was locked in a cage protesting for his rights and freedom.  With repeated attempts to overturn the death penalty from Troy's justice team, prominent politicians, activist leaders, artists and thousands of citizens who signed petitions to save Troy Davis' life the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Georgia declared that the new evidence cast only "minimal doubt on his conviction" and the conviction was upheld. These type of cases just make me sick and it makes people really question the justice system! When is it taking it too far = Death Penalty/Death Row. Is racism still very much alive? Is a person really innocent until proven guilty or are you innocent despite the cased presented against them? Because all these questions can never be answer with a definite answer for me I have always been against the death penalty!! 

I'm a firm believer if it's against the law to kill someone than why is it okay for the law to turn around and say we can convict someone to death.... To me that is a totally contradiction to the law!!! I totally feel no one should have the right to take another person's life period so with that being said.... If you feel this is an injustice to life and Troy Davis I urge you to take a just stand against the law regarding the death penalty also Troy's life which serve to be a great example why justice isn't always serve when there is #toomuchdoubt! MJ's music will live forever and ever!! He is truly the King of Pop! It's so sad "Gone too Soon" but he will never ever be forgotten! MJ we love you and we miss you!!! I love the tribute Google did for MJ!!!!

Movie Monday: the Help

Dear  Divas and Dons!

I have been reading a lot of comments and hearing a lot of feed backs of people questioning if The Help is a movie worth going to see...... Well, I was honored to see an advance screening and I must say I didn't read the book and now I am motivated to read the book to see the difference between the two. Based from what others opinions that saw the movie and read the book mentioned of course differences between the two but they truly enjoyed the movie and the book. 

My personal opinion is "This was a Very Good Movie!!" I truly enjoyed the movie and I must truly say Minny was my favorite character!!! She is a "fire cracker" not to be messed with! This movie opened a flood gate of emotions for me (i.e. laughter, tears of sadness, anger: wanting to fight, Joy and happiness in celebration of African American women Strength and Courage!!!  It's a movie worth seeing and having tea to talk about it!!! The premiere of Beyoncé's latest music video "Run The World (Girls) and June 28th we'll have the new album, '4.' This is my new anthem and I love this song!!! As far as the video, I just feel once again it's all over the place for me!! I like it and there are somethings I just thought was over the top but I guess Beyoncé  wouldn't be "Bee" if she didn't take it there!!! So check out the video.........

  

HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY To all those deserving Women in the World!!!

Dear  Divas and Divos!

Today is such a special day! Today is a day we honor all those women in the world that steps up to the plate and understands the role of being a MOTHER!!! Being a mother is no easy job... YES, I said JOB because that is what it is! As a Mother you are on call for the rest of your child's life and that is a bond that anyone can't break after carry and caring for that baby in the womb for nine months. When my mother use to say that to me I never got it but as I got older and wiser I truly get it and respect every women out there that gets that special bond with their child!

So, to all those hard working, dedicated, loving, understanding, selfless Divine Divas that are mothers (Mommies, Grandmothers, Aunties, Sisters, Godmommies, Teachers, etc.) and ♥ the children in their lives HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY! Especially to my mother and grandmother who have always been very present and they always have my back I LOVE them with all my heart and soul! I would not have been the woman I am today so I own them everything!!! Love your mothers and your father who understand the role of being a parent!!! Special shout out to the fathers out there playing both role!! I respect them and wish those responsible fathers Happy Caretaker Day!!!!
